- The “open” zoo concept was also briefly addressed - The understanding was animals roamed the exhibits in the day (when the zoo is open to the public), and confined to cages after hours (supposedly for security reasons, and such). Apparently, confinement is not a problem for the animals as they spend the time sleeping.
